Tropical Retreat - VICTORIA ELSA LON
The Tropical Retreat is a getaway home for an architect to escape from the bustling life in the cities. The design is an abstraction of the traditional Malay House, and is built mainly with local Balau Wood. The minimalistic façade blends harmoniously with the luscious tropical greenery surrounding it.

Victoria Elsa Lon
Born in Sibu, Sarawak, and currently reside in Kuala Lumpur. Often mistaken as a person of mixed race or a foreigner, but I am purely Iban and born a Malaysian. I enjoy immersing myself in history, art, and fashion. Restoration of historical buildings and sustainable architecture inspired my architectural journey. In the future, I hope to contribute to preserving our culture and create a greener environment for generations to come.
