Coexist Art Gallery - PHUA YING HUI 

This project aims to design an art gallery located in the suburban Taman Desa Recreational Park. The initial design was to interact between the indoor and outdoor to connect the interior view and exterior view through openings and open floor plans. The idea inspired by the site context and also the existing step from the Sports Garden toward the site. Hence, the roof of the Coexist Art Gallery is terracing up using a single pitch roof twist and slowly rises from the right side up to the peak of the center.

 

The art gallery mainly exhibits abstract paintings, small sculptures and also provides a platform for art lovers and urban sketchers to communicate. It also provides workshops, talks and events for art education to promote art culture to the community.
