2 in 1 Art Gallery - ER TECK ZHENG
An art gallery with 2 main exhibition hall: a 2D exhibition hall after the entrance, and a double volume 3D sculptural exhibition hall. By applying linear organization, the idea is to provide a complete experience for the visitors in the gallery using the 'organized' circulation.
Besides, the gallery is proposed to reserve the original characteristic of the site - A Park. So, the gallery is will able to have a certain level of interaction with the re-build open park. Using this idea, this design has the opportunity to enhance exposure to the public.
With the strong industrial style applied on the façade design, the gallery is proposed to create colour and texture contrast with the existing greens using the exposed steel structure and facing bricks. The reason being it will help to prominent the building and make it become the main attraction of the site.

Er Teck Zheng
I'm Zheng, a 21 years old boy from Johor Bahru, Johor. I have just finished my study in Diploma in Architecture. Currently, I'm waiting to be offered to pursue my study in Bachelor of Science in Architecture (Honours).
As a student who is very interested in building construction and space planning, I started my 'architecture life' at Tunku Abdul Rahman University College. With the knowledge I have gained from the past 2 years, I was able to perform my understanding of construction, aesthetic, practicability in the final project of my Diploma, which was to design an art gallery.
Besides academics, I have gone through an industry practical or so-called internship in an architecture film. From this, I have a big improvement of knowledge and understanding of the 'real world'.
Apart from the above, I keep my passion and improving myself to be adept in this profession in the future. Last but not least, I would like to say that I believe Architecture is all about life, by considering the balance of all aspects, producing the best result.
